I am a translator, editor, and currently a doctoral student based in Germany. My dissertation project is about photographs that circulate on the social media during uprisings. I study their movements in and out of the frames of their instances. I attend to their meaning and their composite togetherness. I theorize on their effects on revolutionary movements and on those who created, curated, and circulated them. At the backdrop of these questions is an ongoing curiosity about non-formal transmission of experiences and non-singular authorship of narratives.
I use my blog here to collect my research notes, ramblings, and conjectures on photography, new communication technologies, new techniques of story-telling, radical pedagogies and memory practices.
